EcoVadis awards silver medal to AJK

AJK recently earned the silver EcoVadis sustainability certificate.
What is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis is an independent sustainability assessment provider that assesses companies’ corporate social responsibility policies and culture. EcoVadis has already assessed more than 100,000 companies worldwide.
Additional achievement
Achieving the EcoVadis label is an important milestone for companies committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR). It is a recognition of the company’s sustainable business practices and strong social responsibility.
For a company like AJK, from the metal industry, achieving this silver label is an additional achievement because of the sector’s high impact on the environment.
The 4 pillars
A company that focuses on CSR and receives an Ecovadis medal shows that it is aware of the impact of its activities on the environment and society. Performance in the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable purchasing policy were assessed.
Taking steps
AJK already took a number of steps recently that we will highlight further. By implementing these steps, AJK is reducing its CO2 emissions and adopting more sustainable and energy-efficient business practices.
Moreover, by taking these steps, AJK contributes to the development of a sustainable economy and the promotion of a healthy living environment. This can lead to positive impacts and engagement from customers, employees and other stakeholders.
Hopefully, by following our example, other companies in the industry can be encouraged to adopt more sustainable and environmentally responsible practices as well.
